Howto: xRDP on Fedora / RHEL

# wget http://sourceforge.net/projects/xrdp/files/xrdp/0.4.1/xrdp-0.4.1.tar.gz/download
2) Extract, Compile and Install
# tar -xzvf xrdp-0.4.1.tar.gz
# cd xrdp-0.4.1
# make && make install
3) Configure adduser -d /home/sirjune -g users sirjune
Users
# adduser -d /home/sirjune -g users sirjune
# passwd sirjune
4) For the purpose of testing, temporarily disable your firewall. Until then you can allow RDP ports through it.
# service iptables stop
or
# /sbin/iptables -F
5) Start xRDP
# /usr/local/xrdp/xrdp_control.sh start
6) Test xRDP. From your Windows box:
Click START -> RUN -> type “mstsc” Type in the IP Address or Hostname of your Linux box and Login.
